RUNNING ZERO WASTE
CARE FOR ENVIRONMENT
Recycling over 1.5 MILLION POUNDS of Plastic in 2014
AMA Plastics partners with recyclers to REDUCE our waste stream.
92% OF AMA’s PLASTIC SCRAP gets used domestically. The industries that reuse AMA’s plastic scrap include: household, agriculture, packaging, construction and many more…
AMA has invested in two cubic yard cardboard corrugated and landfill compactors are located on site, lessening our pickups and reducing CO2 emissions. AMA’s used gaylords are distributed across Southern California military bases and used by U.S. Troops for supply shipments overseas..
REGRIND WHERE PERMISSIBLE
All corrugate paper products, bottles and cans are collected and kept out of landfill. We take advantage of LED LIGHTING in all hallways, storage areas, office, conference rooms and production rooms.
AMA collects all florescent bulbs and batteries at various points throughout the factory, where they are recycled to companies.
We use ENERGY efficient power strips in all office areas and conference rooms. AMA Plastics continues to strive towards resource efficient integration.

Rather than landfill scrap parts, runners, and sprues from those parts, AMA recycled more than 1 million lb of material in 2014, running zero waste by reusing as much material as it could internally.Plastics Technology
